The movements of tai chi help seniors relieve stress and increase balance and flexibility. Participants learn relaxation to improve their overall mind, body, and spirit through a series of slow continuous movements. This program is designed for people of all ages and levels of mobility and can be performed standing or sitting.
The class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from October 13 through November 19 (with the exception of November 10). Participants should plan to attend every session, as the practice is cumulative. The classes are taught by representatives of the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative.
