Due to local earthquake activity there has been a catastrophic bookshelf collapse at the library, trapping two puppies in the debris. There is a tunnel leading to them, but it is too small for a human to fit through, and a gap splits the floor that had to be bridged. It will take rescue workers two weeks to clear the debris to get to the puppies, but we need to get them food by Friday or they won’t make it. We have assembled Norman’s best and brightest roboticists to design, build, and program a robot that can deliver food to the puppies by entering the debris field through the tunnel, navigating any hazards they find along the way, crossing the narrow bridge, and delivering the food.
