Vegetable gardening is back with a vengeance. Seems everyone wants to supplement their diet with homegrown produce. There is nothing more satisfying than cutting into the first ripe tomato you grew yourself, or getting some dirt therapy at home.
If you want more information, attend the free “Backyard Vegetable Gardening” seminar, presented by Cleveland County Horticulturalist Tracey Payton Miller. Topics will include general information on vegetable gardening including: planting seeds, growing transplants, caring for the garden, pest control, as well as what can be grown successfully in Oklahoma.
The seminar will take place, Monday, March 18th, from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the Norman Public Library Lowery Room. For more information, contact the Cleveland County Cooperative Extension at 321-4774.
