members from the Bird Health Sciences Library will lead a discussion focused on the book Know Your Chances: Understanding
Health Statistics. The discussion will begin with reviewing interesting
parts of the book, such as how to calculate risk, how to put risk in
perspective, and the importance of a healthy skepticism. Current news stories and/or videos will also
be incorporated to apply the concepts from the book.
A copy of the book is available here; limited copies are available at the library information desk.
